Man injured in motorcycle crash

An Albert Lea man was injured Wednesday night in a motorcycle crash on West Richway Drive.

According to police, Duane Lionel Bergdale, 74, was riding a motorcycle on the road when someone in the area heard a loud crash and then called law enforcement.

Bergdale was ejected from the motorcycle and taken by helicopter to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

No other information was available as of press time.

The crash remains under investigation.

 

Vehicles rummaged through

Police received a report at 9:48 a.m. Wednesday of a vehicle that rummaged through at 609 Garfield Ave. The incident reportedly happened sometime between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The car was unlocked, and nothing was missing.

Police received a report at 12:39 p.m. Wednesday of a vehicle that was rummaged through at 619 Garfield Ave. Several items were reported taken. It had reportedly taken place sometime between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday.

 

Man arrested for DWI after crash

Police arrested Lee Andrew Acosta, 41, for driving while intoxicated after a crash at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday at 143 W. Clark St.

 

Vehicle stolen, recovered

A vehicle was reported stolen at 10:44 a.m. Wednesday from 1006 E. Richway Drive. It was recovered at Hawthorne Elementary School.

 

BB gun holes reported in glass

BB holes were reported shot in glass at 9:31 a.m. Wednesday at 226 W. Clark St.

 

Theft reported

Police received a report of a theft of about 700 feet of underground cable at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday from Union Pacific Railroad, near the intersection of Elizabeth Avenue and East Main Street.

 

Dog bite reported

Police received a report at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday of a dog bite that took place at the Freeborn County Humane Society, 101 James Ave.
