Two people were treated for injuries at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea Thursday morning after they were reportedly assaulted by multiple people with a machete at 1604 W. Richway Drive. 

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office stated they were alerted to the incident after receiving a call at 6:36 a.m. at the emergency room at the hospital.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office stated the victims were one female and one male. 

No other information was available. The case remains under investigation.

Police cited Christopher Michael Sandberg, 19, for underage consumption and possession at 1:34 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of The Fairway and Lakeview Boulevard. 

 

Theft reported

A theft of electricity was reported at 5:51 p.m. Wednesday at 333 W. College St. 

 

1 arrested for contempt of court

Deputies arrested Shane Richard Bolinger at 11:06 a.m. Thursday for contempt of court. 

 

Window broken out

A window was reported broken out of a vehicle at 11:32 a.m. Wednesday at 351 Third Ave. NW, Glenville.
