The following area schools have closed on Wednesday because of impending weather:

• Albert Lea Area Schools, e-learning day

• Alden-Conger School

• Glenville-Emmons School

• Northwood-Kensett School

• NRHEG School

• United South Central, virtual learning

Albert Lea and NRHEG districts also announced they would be closed Thursday.
