May is Poppy Month

: American Legion Auxiliary 264, Glenville, and new Cmdr. Dave Fredrickson, for 2023-24, Post 264, Glenville, declare May as Poppy Month. Poppy queens were crowned. Junior queen, Ayda Madsen, and Elaine Lukes, senior queen, will represent the American Legion family for the coming year. Madsen offered the first poppy to Fredrickson. The little red flower represents the sacrifices of veterans, both past and present. Provided
