‘Trapped air’ has been my focus lately.

Robin Gudal

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:6-7, NIV

As I was preparing for stomach surgery, I fretted about that, as it is common after surgery. When people said, “I will pray for you,” I asked them to pray specifically that I would not experience such pain. The surgery went well, a little more extensive than originally thought, but I am on the road to full recovery, with minimal trapped air pain. If you are one of the people whose path I crossed, and you prayed for me; thank you.

“Standing on the promises that cannot fail, when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail, by the living Word of God I shall prevail, standing on the promises of God. Refrain: Standing, standing, standing on the promises of God my Savior; Standing, standing, I’m standing on the promises of God. — “Standing on the promises” by Russell K. Carter

What’s your “trapped air,” fretting situation that needs to be surrendered to Jesus today?

Sometimes life can surprise you. You’re in the thick of a situation you never saw coming. Now you’ve more than worried. Stop. Take a deep breath no matter where you are or what you’re doing and remind yourself that God will — is — protecting you. He’s going to work everything out for you. Why? Because he not only loves you but has a plan for your life. All you need to do is trust him and live it.” — “Worry less, Pray More” by Donna K. Maltese

The Lord will work out his plans for my life-for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. — Psalm 138:8, NLT

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. — Psalm 107:1, NLT

Thankful and blessed.
