A.L. student receives scholarship

Marissa Hanson, daughter of Jen Noetzel and Dean Hanson of Albert Lea, received the NDSU Presidential Award at North Dakota State University. The award recognizes students who have a 3.98 or higher high school GPA or have scored a 32 or higher on the ACT and have a 3.5 or higher high school GPA.
Hanson entered NDSU in the fall and is majoring in political science.

Resident earns doctorate

Jill “PJ” Marin of Albert Lea earlier this month received her doctorate in psychology from Liberty University in Liberty, Virginia.
