Another round of snow is on its way Thursday evening into Saturday morning with total accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible, according to the National Weather Service.
The weather agency has issued a winter storm warning starting Thursday night in Waseca, Steele, Faribault and Freeborn counties. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph and cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero will develop and could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions and reduced visibility and make sure to have winter clothes and a charged cell phone with them in their vehicle.
A system earlier this week brought 2 1/2 inches of snow to Albert Lea, according to the weather agency.
Dangerously cold wind chills of 30 to 40 below zero are expected Saturday night through Monday morning as much colder air moves in across the region. The coldest wind chills will occur Sunday & Monday mornings.
