5 things to do this week: Egg hunts, Rock Your Socks event, fundraiser and more

Fundraiser for pavilion at fairgrounds

The Albert Lea Moose Lodge will host a burger basket fundraiser from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Baskets are $10, and proceeds will go toward the family pavilion at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds.

Egg hunt at City Arena

Albert Lea Parks and Recreation will host an egg hunt City Arena, 701 Lake Chapeau Drive, on Saturday morning. The hunt will be broken up into three age groups, and participants are asked not to arrive more than 15 minutes before their scheduled age group. Please bring your own basket or bag to collect eggs. The egg hunt for ages 4 and under will be from 9 to 9:30 a.m.; ages 5 through 7 will be from 9:40 to 10:10 a.m.; and ages 8 through 11 will be from 10:20 to 10:50 a.m.

Easter egg hunt in Emmons

Good Shot Golf and Sporting Clays will host an Easter egg hunt from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Eggs will be hidden throughout the lodge and possibly outside depending on the weather. The event will have goodies, drinks and other activities for kids. The regular bar will also be open for adults.

Rock Your Socks Walk/Run

Show your support for World Down Syndrome Day and come to Brookside Boat Landing at 9 a.m. Saturday for a 3.21-mile walk/run around Fountain Lake. There is a suggested $5 minimum donation that will go to the Inclusive Playground. Don’t forget to wear unique socks to the event.

Kit Mayer & the Pack 

Get your tickets now to attend a concert by Kit Mayer & the Pack at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Kit Mayer & the Pack is a four-piece band based in La Crosse made up of Jeff Sherin on lead guitar, Mark Denny on bass, Paul Herber on drums and Kit Mayer on electric guitar and vocals. The band’s work is rooted in the traditions of Americana, country blues and folk rock. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and may be purchased over the phone by calling 877-730-3144 (service fees apply), online at actonbroadway.com or at the box office.
