Albert Lea resident awarded SEMAC artist grant award

The Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council board of directors this week awarded 21 arts programming grants for a total of $89,000 in funding to individual artists throughout southeastern Minnesota. This included 13 Advancing Artist grants and eight Emerging Artist grants.

SEMAC, a nonprofit arts agency, is designated by the state of Minnesota Arts Board as the regional arts council for 11 southeastern Minnesota counties: Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha and Winona

For Freeborn County, a grant was awarded to Elisha Marin of Albert Lea for $5,000 for album production.
