Albert Lea Police Department Sgt. Jason Taylor will present the history of the Albert Lea Police Department at noon Thursday. An avid researcher of local history, Taylor’s work led to the recognition of the line of duty death of Albert Lea Special Policeman Judson H. Randall. Attendees will hear more about Randall in 1899 and other anecdotes from the department’s past.

The program will be in the Council Chambers on the top floor of City Hall, 221 E. Clark St. A program of the Albert Lea Public Library, there is no registration or fee required. Attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch to this ongoing series of Bring Your Own Lunch and Learn.
