Senior Center to host ‘Refreshments with Recreation’

The Albert Lea Senior Center at the Skyline Plaza will host a “Refreshments with Recreation” from 10 to 11 a.m. March 13. Albert Lea Recreation staff will visit with attendees about the upcoming referendum on recreation facilities.
The city of Albert Lea is asking voters on April 9 to authorize $9.8 million toward $12.25 million in projects to sustain City Arena, Marion Ross Performing Arts Center and aquatic center along with public restrooms near the splash pad downtown. Federal incentives of $2.45 million would provide the rest of the funding.
