1 arrested for DWI after signs, cars reported hit and other reports

Police arrested Julio Cruz Silva, 32, for driving while intoxicated after receiving a report at 2:14 a.m. Sunday of a person driving recklessly from the Nasty Habit bar on William Street. Other witnesses reported the same individual driving on South First Avenue and Front Street. He reportedly hit at least two parked cars on South Fourth Avenue as well as signs.

 

Man arrested for assault of woman

Police arrested Camren Michael Cunningham, 19, for domestic assault, underage drinking, threats of violence, second-degree assault and carrying a pistol without a permit after receiving a report of a woman who was reportedly picked up and thrown to the ground. At some point, a gun was pulled out during the assault.

The woman was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.

Property broken into

Property was reported broken into at 12:54 p.m. Friday at 28164 740th Ave. in Clarks Grove.

 

Tractor fire reported

A tractor was reported on fire at 5:09 p.m. Saturday at 77860 175th Ave. The fire was extinguished by the owner.

 

1 arrested for DWI

Deputies arrested Jordan Heimer, 30, for probable cause second-degree driving while intoxicated after receiving a report of a pickup truck that took out a power pole and was driving through the field on the south side of 240th Street.

 

Grass fire reported

A grass fire was reported at 2:35 p.m. Sunday near 725th Avenue and 240th Street. The fire was reportedly started accidentally by a four-wheeler.

 

Slashed tires reported

Police received a report at 6:43 a.m. Friday of a person who had reportedly just watched someone slash tires and walk away at 321 Sibley Ave.

A tire was reported slashed at 5:17 p.m. Saturday at 1609 Bridge Ave. The incident was believed to have occurred overnight.

 

Fraudulent charges reported

Police received a report at 2:29 p.m. Friday of fraudulent charges that were made on an EBT card the month prior.

 

Attempted burglary reported

An attempted burglary was reported at 5:45 p.m. Friday at 1317 S.E. Broadway.

 

1 arrested for assault

Police arrested Robert Gilbert Hughes, 60, for second-degree assault after receiving a report of a neighbor threatening another person at 7:13 p.m. Saturday at 1323 Abbott St.

 

Hit-and-run reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 9:09 p.m. Saturday at 214 E. Fifth St.

Vehicles reported damaged

Police received a report of a vehicle that was damaged at 10:43 a.m. Sunday at 800 S. Fourth Ave.

Police received a report of a back window of a vehicle that was busted out at 10:53 a.m. Sunday at 800 S. Fourth Ave.

 

1 arrested after domestic incident

Police arrested Chase Kenneth Everson, 34, Sunday afternoon at 1310 Academy Ave. after a reported domestic incident the night prior.

 

Dog bite reported

A teenager who reportedly went out for a jog on the 1100 block of St. John Avenue was reportedly bitten by a dog at 1:47 p.m. Sunday.
