1 injured in crash near truck stops and other reports

One person was injured Wednesday afternoon after a crash at the intersection of East Main Street and Happy Trails Lane.

According to police, Jon Anderson, 83, was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries deemed not-life threatening.

Anderson was driving a 2017 Chevy Equinox and was headed north out of the Trail’s Travel Center parking lot to turn left onto westbound Main Street, when he pulled out into the path of a 2007 white Dodge Charger, driven by Corey Foland, 24, who was eastbound.

Foland was not injured.

 

Hit-and-run crashes reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday at 1711 Sunset St.

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 6:13 p.m. Wednesday at 2850 E. Main St.

 

1 cited for underage drinking

Police cited one person for underage drinking at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday at Albert Lea High School, 2000 Tiger Lane.

 

Juvenile cited for assault, disorderly conduct

Police cited one juvenile for fifth-degree assault and disorderly conduct at 12:58 p.m. Wednesday at Albert Lea High School, 2000 Tiger Lane.
