In Jennifer Vogt-Erickson’s recent “My Point of View,” she states “U.S. Rep. Brad Finstad supports a national ban on abortions … ” Most would take this to mean that he cares about the health and safety of children. But is this actually true? It appears he is only “concerned” about some children. Why else would he deny Ukrainians the assistance to defend themselves and their children? Does he believe that Ukrainians do not love and cherish their children? Do not all children need everyone’s help and protection? It appears our Congressman does not think so.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine posted that as of April 18, Russia has killed 543 and maimed 1,296 Ukrainian children since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war. In addition, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin in connection with war crimes concerning his unlawful deportation and illegal transfer of Ukrainian children to Russia. This is just a fancy way of saying Putin has kidnapped Ukrainian children with resettlement in Russia, where they are being brainwashed and indoctrinated to hate their families and country.

I have had the honor and pleasure to live and work in Albert Lea for the last 24 years. I have gotten to know my neighbors and the citizens of the various southern Minnesota communities. I know that Minnesotans would do anything to protect their children. Minnesotans would never want other people’s children to be put in harm’s way. It does seem extremely hypocritical that “our” U.S. Rep. Brad Finstad believes that some children are just not worth saving.

It is obvious that Congressman Finstad is “anti-Ukraine.” Go to the Republicans For Ukraine website (gopforukraine.com) and you will find that he has an “F very poor” rating. He has voted against every bill that would have supported Ukraine. This website also states that he has “made anti-Ukraine statements.” There is no gray area here. If you are “anti-Ukraine” then you must be pro-Vladimir Putin, pro-occupation and Russian colonization of Ukraine including pro-tyranny and slavery. For tyranny and slavery are what Russia has planned for not only Ukraine but eventually other Eastern European countries. How could this individual be “our” representative in Congress?
