By now it should be obvious that Congressman Finstad deceived everyone by conflating our porous border issues with military aid to Ukraine. It is abundantly evident that there was never any correlation between the two. Finstad’s blocking aid to Ukraine has permitted Putin to dramatically increase the bombing of Ukrainian cities with additional civilian deaths. Unfortunately, the Russians are now also advancing further into Ukraine again. Ukraine is simply running out of munitions to defend itself. On the other hand, Russia has North Korea, Iran and communist China supplying it with a myriad of lethal weapons. I do not understand why Congressman Finstad prefers Putin and these dictatorships over a fledgling democracy that is only trying to survive.

Regarding military aid monies to Ukraine, Mr. Pacovsky in his “My Point of View” accurately states that “90% of the money stays in the U.S.” New munitions and equipment is being produced in the U.S. to replenish the stockpiles of older supplies that should be sent to Ukraine. Otherwise, we will have to spend significant taxpayer money to dispose of these munitions and equipment as they become obsolete.

Mr. Pacovsky also points out that there are “two production lines in Minnesota.” What does Finstad have against Minnesotans being employed? Why does Finstad not want the U.S. to re-supply itself and replace it’s obsolete stock? By voting against Ukraine aid, Finstad is encouraging further Russian aggression. This will only embolden China to consider invading Taiwan. Then we will be involved. At that point, our U.S. homeland will not be spared.
