Albert Lea’s monthly summer market and music festival, known as Wind Down Wednesday, will return next Wednesday with the first event of the summer.

The festival, which runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., features shopping, food, entertainment and other activities for children. Organizers hope the event will unite the community for a day of fun, shopping, food and entertainment — fostering a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for all.

The entertainment schedule is as follows:

  • Todd Utpadel, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Minute to Win It, 2 p.m.
  • Talent Showcase , 4 p.m.; organizers are still looking for participants to showcase their talents on stage. If interested, sign up at https://forms.gle/VW5t2eR9r5wj7CTA7.
  • Tony Cuchetti Band, 6 to 8 p.m.; dance the evening away with foot-thumping country and rock tunes infused with soulful vibes.
  • Pickleball Club: Participate in 15-minute sessions of engaging pickleball activities on a pickleball court set up on Broadway with the Albert Lea Area Pickleball Club.
