Filing for the Freeborn County Board of Commissioners closed Tuesday, and all but one of the county board seats will run unopposed this fall.

Julie Ackland and Brad Edwin will face off for a second time for the District 1 seat, while newcomer Lukas Severson and incumbent Nicole Eckstrom will run for the District 3 and 5 seats, respectively.

Current District 3 Commissioner John Forman is not seeking reelection.

The board is made up of five commissioners representing different areas of the county.

The general election will be Nov. 5.
