The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Freeborn County and the surrounding area until 8 p.m. today.

The weather agency states a cold front will bring another round of showers and thunderstorms later today and this evening. A few storms could be severe and local heavy rain is possible.

Additional rain is possible late Thursday through Saturday with flash flooding possible.
