The Albert Lea Art Center will host artist development workshop, “Getting your work into the public,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Art Center.
This will be a free opportunity for professional and amateur artists of all artistic disciplines to increase their learning on a variety of topics as well as engage in networking, resource sharing and socialization amongst creative peers throughout the region.
All workshops will be available through Zoom, and all workshops are sponsored by the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council.
Participants will learn about some tried and true ways to get their work seen by art audiences and the general public as panelists and attending participants share their experiences.
The first panelist, Bonnie Broitzman, has made a living as an artist, first teaching in public school, then in retirement, co-teaching International Watercolor Workshops.
The second panelist, Tracy Ingham, has spent most of the last four decades as a photo-realist oil painter. Although he also creates in acrylics, watercolor and other mediums, his emphasis has always been on creating historically accurate works.
