James Ziebell, 66, Myrtle

Funeral services for James C. Ziebell, age 66, of Myrtle, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jeff Wallager will officiate. Interment will be in the Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the services at the Church.

Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

James Carl Ziebell was born March 1, 1940, to Carl H. and Margaret E. (Saman) Ziebell in Myrtle. He was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Glenville High School in 1958.

On Aug. 5, 1961, James was united in marriage to Judy Kay Brandt at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He was a member of the National Guard Reserves in the 1960s. James had been employed at Rilco, Wilson’s, and Farmstead in Albert Lea and Carroll George in Northwood and was retired from farming. He enjoyed going for drives, doing lawn work, and especially spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; son, Daniel and his wife, Lisa Ziebell of Glenville; daughter, Lori and husband, Kelly Madson of Glenville; grandchildren: Tyler, Chelsey and Madisen Ziebell and Rieley and Logan Madson; sister, Marian Ziebell of Minneapolis; sister-in-law, Jeanette and her husband, Roger Johnson of Mora; brother-in-law, Larry and his wife, Judy Brandt of Prior Lake; niece and nephews: Duane and his wife, Karen Arens, Angela Hildebrandt, Barrett Brandt, and Andrew Brandt; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

James was preceded in death by his father, Carl Ziebell; his mother, Margaret (Saman) Ziebell; and his grandparents.
