Daniel V. Hansen, age 66, of Albert Lea, formerly of Crystal, passed away June 1, 2006, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Dan was a native Minnesotan and attended the U of M. Dan then joined the Navy, spent two years aboard the Aircraft Carrier Coral Sea and two years as a meteorologist in Key West, Fla.

Dan also worked for 16 years at Minnegasco Gas Co. He then ventured into the field of finance and was a stock broker for 20 years in Minneapolis.

Dan is survived by his wife, Georgia; three stepsons, Jeff, Nels and Kris and their families; and brother Don and sister Phyllis and their families. He has many aunts, uncles and extended families. Dan enjoyed his five grandchildren immensely.

Dan enjoyed lifelong hobbies of stamps, railroading, American history and politics.
