Lilah Kluender, 91, of Albert Lea

Funeral services for Lilah A. Kluender, age 91, of Albert Lea will be held on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at 11 a.m., at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jeff Wallager will officiate. Burial will be at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Lilah died on Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.

Lilah Adeline Kluender was born on March 26, 1914, in Faribault County, the daughter of Robert and Lizzie (Gruhlke) Lange. She was raised in Faribault County and attended school in Blue Earth. Lilah was united in marriage to Samuel Kluender in April 1933. The couple lived in Blue Earth and then farmed near Walters and in 1945, they moved to Myrtle. In 1979, Lilah moved to Albert Lea where she lived until she became a resident of St. John’s this past November. Lilah was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was active in the WELCA and the Mary circle and also involved in various home extension groups. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and working with her plants.

Survivors include her children: Bob and wife Joanne Kluender and Connie Haroldson. Grandchildren, Lori and husband Gary Klingson and their children, Tyler, Luke and Jenna, Todd and wife Becky Kluender and their children Josh, Andrew and Jocelyn, Darcy and husband Terry Hall and their son Trevor and Dacia and husband Eric Bottelson. Many nieces and nephews.

Lilah was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Samuel and brother, Arlie and wife Helen Lange. Son-in-law, Bennett Haroldson.

Lilah will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
