Private family services will be held for Cora Louise Simon. She died on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at the Good Samaritan Center, Albert Lea. She was 93 years old.

Cora was born in Sheffield, Iowa on June 19, 1912, the daughter of John and Mamie (Knapp) Culver. She attended school in Sheffield, Iowa.

On Aug. 25, 1928, Cora was united in marriage with Dale Simon in Fort Dodge, Iowa. They had lived their married life in New Richland and Albert Lea. They had been members of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. Cora enjoyed reading and watching T.V.

Cora is survived by one sister, Margaret Hubbell of California; two special nieces: Dorothy Hamberg and Ellen Adams both of Albert Lea; other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale in 1978; five sisters: Viol Jacobson, Ethel Scott, Pearl Schoning, Rose Culver, Beverly Myers; one brother, Claude Culver.
