Northwood-Kensett schools closed at 11:30 a.m. today.

Alden-Conger schools will close at noon today.

Albert Lea schools, St. Theodore Catholic School and Hollandale Christian School will close three hours early today.

Lake Mills, Iowa, schools will close at 11:30 a.m. today

United South Central schools in Wells closed at 10:30 a.m. today and all after-school activities are cancelled. New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva schools closed at 10:45 a.m. today and all after-school activities are cancelled.

Blue Earth Area schools closed at 10:30 a.m. today. Blooming Prairie schools will dismiss at noon today with no evening activities. Austin schools will close at 12:50 today.

A winter weather advisory is currently in effect for southern Minnesota until midnight with expected snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches. Snow may continue until early Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Travelers should expect low visibility and difficult travel conditions.
