A free program, “What is Endocrinology?” is scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at HealthReach, 1705 S.E. Broadway, Albert Lea.

Sponsored by Albert Lea Medical Center — part of Mayo Health System — and District 241, the session will be presented by Sumit Bhagra, ALMC’s new endocrinologist.

Bhagra received his medical degree from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. He recently completed a fellowship in the Division of Endocrinology at Mayo Clinic Rochester, and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Join Bhagra for an informational evening regarding the different diseases and conditions an endocrinologist can assist with. Diabetes is a mainstay in an endocrinologist’s schedule but many other conditions warrant a review by this specialist.
