Panthers pound Bulldogs

NEW RICHLAND– Jade Schultz and Carlie Wagner each scored 18 points, while Kristina Cole recorded 15 points as the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panthers girls’ basketball team defeated the Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Bulldogs 71-39 Friday in New Richland.

Schultz and Cole both recorded double-doubles on the night.

Schultz had 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Cole scored 15 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.

The Panthers out-rebounded the Bulldogs 63-33.

“I am happy with rebounding effort,” NRHEG coach John Schultz said. “We got the 63-33 advantage on the boards and they are a good sized team.”

Anna Schlaak also filled up the box score for NRHEG.

Schlaak came three points shy of getting a triple double as she scored 7 points, had 10 steals and pulled down 14 rebounds.

Sam Gruis led the Bulldogs with 25 points.

NRHEG is back on Tuesday as they host Jordan.
