SAR Manufacturing owners to speak at enterprise event

Kirk and Sue Knudtson, owners of SAR Manufacturing, Albert Lea, will be two of the featured speakers at Enterprise Minnesota’s March 13 event, “Proactive Marketing for Manufacturers: A Business Growth Strategy.”

The Knudtsons, along with two other manufacturing executives, will share their experiences and business expertise for strategically growing business using a proactive marketing approach. The event will be held at RJF, a Marsh and McLennan Agency, 7225 Northland Drive N., Suite 300, in Brooklyn Park from 8 to 11 a.m.

“A strategic marketing process can generate strong business results,” said Bob Kill, president and CEO of Enterprise Minnesota. “Knowing their competitors and implementing growth opportunities helps manufacturers find out what differentiates them so they can stand out.”

Enterprise Minnesota consults with medium size and smaller manufacturing companies to help them compete and grow profitably. It also serves as the “voice of manufacturing” to raise the industry’s profile as an appreciated, highly advanced economic driver of Minnesota’s economy. The organization is Minnesota’s affiliate of the national Manufacturing Extension Partnership program.

SAR Manufacturing Inc. is a contract precision manufacturer of small turn parts used in hydraulic applications in the fluid power, industrial equipment and construction machinery industries. The company was founded in 1990 and Kirk and Sue Knudtson became owners in 2012.

Additional speakers on March 13 include Ramon Hernandez, customer service manager at Harmony Enterprises and Lori Tapani, co-president of Wyoming Machine, Stacy.
