Here are some of the volunteer opportunities currently open in Freeborn County. If you can help with any or would like to volunteer for others, call Pat Stumme, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program director, at Senior Resources, 377-7433.

Volunteering options online: At www.volunteerfreeborncounty.wordpress.com you can find the most current requests for all ages of volunteer opportunities across Freeborn County.

Pelican Breeze II: You can offer passenger hospitality as first mate on the Pelican Breeze II. They are also looking for a volunteer to handle crew-scheduling for the scenic tours. Farmers market: Volunteers on market days will help children experience growing food and sampling produce at the market. Contact Verlys Huntley at 507-297-5546 to help this project grow beginning May 15 through Oct. 31.

RSVP, sponsored by Senior Resources of Freeborn County, receives some funding through the United Way of Freeborn County, Minnesota Board on Aging and the Corporation for National and Community Service.
