CLARKS GROVE — A utility trailer parked in a driveway likely contributed to a crash Thursday afternoon in which an 11-year-old boy was injured in Clarks Grove.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office stated the trailer blocked the view of Sheila Kay Hansen, 50, as she backed her automobile out of the driveway at 208 E. Main St. It also blocked the view of Gage David Enzenhauer, also of Clarks Grove, who was crossing the driveway on his bicycle as Hansen was backing out.

Enzenhauer was airlifted to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester for injuries that were not life-threatening, the Sheriff’s Office stated.

A news release stated Enzenhauer is a neighbor to Hansen, and speed was not a contributing factor.
