Brittany Stranik and Dr. Trevor Penning of Flandreau, S.D., announce their engagement.
The bride’s parents are Dr. Gary and Becki Stranik of Mankato.

The groom’s parents are Diane Penning of Rochester and Bruce Penning of Kiester.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Mankato East High School and a 2011 cum laude graduate of Minnesota State University with a degree in medical laboratory science. She is employed as a laboratory technologist for SGS International Inc. in Brookings, S.D.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Alden-Conger High School, a 2010 cum laude graduate of Minnesota State University and a 2013 graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington. He is employed as a chiropractor who began his practice at Flandreau Chiropractic Clinic with Dr. Chad Weber.
A May 17, 2014, wedding is planned at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato with a reception and dinner to follow at the Courtyard Marriott. An open house dance will be at 8 p.m.
