St. John’s Auxiliary

St. John’s Auxiliary met at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 20 at St. John’s Chapel. President Caroline Sorenson welcomed everyone. Ieren Goskeson, pianist, led singing of “Jesus Loves Me” and “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.”

Auxiliary Secretary Bonnie Schenider read the minutes of the December meeting. Treasurer LeAnn Knutson gave the treasurer’s report. The reports were approved as read.

The Auditing committee found everything to be in order. Volunteer coordinator Carla Reichel reported that 1,035 volunteer hours were given in December. The total of volunteer hours for 2013 were 10,266. Activities Director Shirley Leeman reported activities for February.

Vice President Jan Jerdee read the names of residents celebrating January Birthdays and “Happy Birthday” was sung.

The church thanked for serving Sunday coffee in January was First Lutheran Church of Albert Lea.

The program was provided by Clarence Havner on accordian and guitar. His music students Seth Wagner, Amelia West, Hannah West and Wyatt West played instruments.

The meeting was closed with the Lord’s Prayer.
