LAKE MILLS — Lake Mills now boasts the area’s only indoor golf center.

Craig Tweed and his wife, Chris, opened Lake Mills Golf Center March 1. It’s the first business the couple has ever owned.

“We wanted some place to play during the winter,” said Craig Tweed.

The store currently has two simulators, and Tweed is hoping to add a third before winter.

Tweed said that the center will look to host golf leagues this winter, since the amount of customers has started to decrease now that the weather’s improving. Leagues most likely will start around early November once regular courses are closing up for the season.

The Tweeds both still work their day jobs, so appointments are encouraged, as is bringing a set of clubs. Some equipment is available for rent. The center, at 213 W. Main St., is generally open for appointments in the evenings during the week and weekends by appointment. Up to eight players can be on one simulator.

Those interested in making an appointment or finding out more information can call 641-592-4653 or go to lakemillsgolf.net.
