Albert Lea man faces criminal sex charge and other reports

Items reported stolen

A garage was reported broken into at 5:37 p.m. Thursday at 14628 880th Ave., Glenville. Tools and a bicycle were stolen.

An ATV was reported stolen at 8:47 p.m. Thursday at 12769 690th Ave., Emmons.

A hitch was reported stolen off of a vehicle parked at Good Samaritan Society of Albert Lea, 75507 240th St., between 3 and 11 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle was also scratched.

 

Car sideswiped overnight

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 6:31 a.m. Thursday at 717 E. Hawthorne St. A car had reportedly been sideswiped sometime Wednesday night.

 

Vehicle stolen, later recovered

A 1998 Pontiac Bonneville reported stolen Thursday morning from 1312 Spartan Ave. was recovered under the West Main Street viaduct near railroad tracks.

 

Albert Lea man faces criminal sex charge

AUSTIN — A 22-year-old Albert Lea man is accused of sexually assaulting a Mower County boy under age 13.

Roger Conner faces one first-degree and one second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge in Mower County District Court.

According to a court complaint, Conner allegedly abused a boy over a period of two years from 2011 to 2013. The victim’s mother and sister reported the abuse to the police last month. The mother allegedly told police the victim would get “night terrors” at the same time many nights, which is allegedly when the abuse took place.

Conner’s next court appearance is Nov. 6. He is being held on $250,000 bail.
