Shoe Sensation is assisting the Salvation Army by giving discounts to customers who donate to the local charity.

People making a donation of $1 or more at the store, 2526 Bridge Ave., during a drive for the week beginning Tuesday will be rewarded with 10 percent off their purchase of a single item, according to a Shoe Sensation news release.

“We are excited to have this opportunity to help Salvation Army on their mission in our community,” said Jim Quiggins, vice president of marketing for Shoe Sensation Inc. “Our hope is to make it effortless for our customers to make a difference in a child’s life through the small gesture of donation in exchange for a discount. This is a great opportunity for all of us to help some deserving children right here in Albert Lea.”
