The Albert Lea Police Department has not yet received final autopsy results from a September shooting death in Albert Lea, said Albert Lea Deputy Director of Police J.D. Carlson.

Police were dispatched to a report of a medical incident on Sept. 24 at 1510 Academy Ave. Upon arrival, police found Cody Alan Baseman, 28, with a gunshot wound. Lifesaving attempts were unsuccessful, and Baseman died.

Carlson said the manner of death hasn’t been released.

The Police Department is still waiting for additional reports from a Bureau of Criminal Apprehension investigator, he said. He hoped to have more information this week.

The Ramsey County medical examiner’s office was closed on Friday and could not be reached as of press time. Look to the Tribune for more information as it becomes available.
