Area students on SDSU
dean’s list

Several area students have been named to the dean’s list for academic excellence during the fall 2015 semester at South Dakota State University. To earn dean’s list distinctions in SDSU’s colleges, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Those receiving recognition included Grady Douglas Ruble of Albert Lea, Tessa Bergstrom Ivers of Austin, Samantha Bergstrom Ivers of Austin,  Kendra Raie Reimers of Austin, Samuel Johnson of Glenville, Melissa Malakowsky of Hartland, Kaitlyn Ovrebo of Wells, Kristen Ovrebo of Wells and Cassidy Latusek of Wells.

Woodring named
to dean’s list

Mariah Woodring of Wells was among 744 students named to the fall semester dean’s list at the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. To qualify for the honor, traditional undergraduate students must earn a 3.50 or better grade point average while carrying at least 12 credit hours. As a Christian, Catholic, Benedictine institution, the University of Mary offers education for the whole of life through professional programs grounded in a liberal arts tradition.

 

Albert Lea native recognized

Minnesota West Community & Technical College has announced that Colton Casterton of Albert Lea has been named to the fall semester 2015 dean’s list. Students must be enrolled in at least 12 graded credits and earn a minimum 3.5 grade point average to be eligible for dean’s list honors.
