Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating the death of a man who was found Sunday in a vehicle destroyed by fire near Owatonna.

According to a press release, the man was found in the vehicle after the Owatonna Fire Department and Steele County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious call at about 6:30 p.m., on the 2000– block of Northwest 52nd Avenue, west of Owatonna.

The Steele County Sheriff’s Office, Steele County Coroner’s Office, Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, Mayo Clinic and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating. More information will be released as the investigation progresses.
