The basketball season just started, but Alden-Conger’s Erika Bute already broke a milestone.

The sophomore guard needed 24 points to break the 1,000-point barrier coming into Monday’s game against United South Central. Bute did all she could to keep the Knights in the game, scoring 28 points and grabbing seven rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as the Knights fell to the Rebels 55-48.

USC held Alden-Conger to 11 points in the first half, jumping out to a 22-11 in the process.
