Pearl Arlene Nelson, 80, of Burnsville, formerly of Owatonna, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017, surrounded by family.

Funeral services  will be at noon Friday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 13901 Fairview Drive in Burnsville.

Pearl was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and dear friend. She possessed an abundance of beautiful traits. She was thoughtful, a great listener, creative with a flare for decorating and flower gardens and she loved to laugh — but most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents Jake and Artie Zylstra; siblings Jacob, John, Jean and Shirley.

She is survived by husband, Robert Nelson; children Brad (Cindy) Haugen, Michael (Claudia Battaino) Haugen, Patricia (Thomas) Wright and Jodi Haugen; stepchildren Tammy Kucera and Bruce Nelson; grandchildren Alexander, Emma and Katherine Wright, Simone, Matthew and Sarah Haugen, Nicolas Gaines and Benjamin Haugen, Ryan and Cody Fugleberg, Rebecca Nelson; and brother, Arthur Zylstra.
