Nominations sought for Outstanding Senior Citizen

Nominations from Freeborn County residents are being sought for the 2017 Outstanding Senior Citizen.

A man and a woman who were 70 by June 1 will be selected because of their outstanding community involvement. They will be honored Aug. 2 at the Freeborn County Fair.

Nominees must be a resident of Freeborn County and judging will be based on all contributions made to their community after the age of 65. This is the 28th year FreebornCounty has participated.

Anyone wishing to make nominations can obtain official nomination forms from the Albert Lea Convention and Visitors Bureau, 102 W. Clark St., Albert Lea, or at the Freeborn County Fair office at the fairgrounds.

Nomination forms must be submitted to: The Freeborn County Fair Office, ATTN: OSC, Box 128, Albert Lea, MN 56007. The deadline for Outstanding Senior Citizen of Freeborn County nominations is July 14.
