Ronald Kalis, 1940-2018

Ronald Eugene Kalis, 78, of Albert Lea passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society of Albert Lea.

Ronald was born to Arthur and Melinda Kalis on Jan. 4, 1940, in Albert Lea.

He attended Albert Lea High School and graduated in 1958. He enlisted in the Army in 1963 and was stationed in Savannah, Georgia.

He attended Albert Lea Technical College for a degree in accounting. He worked for Wilson & Co. and Farmstead and Seaboard as a security guard. He also worked in Northwood.

He enjoyed traveling, walking and reading. He resided in Albert Lea.

He is survived by his niece, Kimberly Lampe, of Raleigh, North Carolina; and brother-in-law, Larry Olson, of Albert Lea.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Marlene Olson; and parents Arthur and Melinda Kalis.

A graveside memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John’s Cemetery in Janesville, Waseca County. The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Society and Albert Lea Mayo Hospice services for the care he received.
