Ellendale student recognized

Elizabeth Deml of Ellendale was one of 128 students were named to the fall 2018 dean’s list at Ellsworth Community College. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must have taken 12 or more credit hours during the semester and earned at least a 3.5 grade point average.

Area students honored at Iowa, Wisconsin schools

Iowa Lakes Community College has released the fall honors list of full-time students who have demonstrated academic excellence by earning at least a grade point average of 3.25 based on a 4.0 or higher. Among those listed were Jacob Passer of Kiester and Kylee McGurk of Lake Mills, who earned a 4.0 GPA.

Area students have also been named to the dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year, ending December 2018.

Among the students honored were Natalie Day and Kayla Jensen of Albert Lea, Kaleb Bendickson and Kelsey Newman of Alden, Dillon Kubiatowicz of Geneva, Torrie Stencel of Hartland and Abby Christopherson of New Richland.

Qualification for the dean’s list is limited to students who have attained outstanding academic achievement. To be eligible, students must have earned not less than a 3.5 semester grade point average and carried a minimum of 12 credits.

UMD, U of W release dean’s list names

The University of Minnesota Duluth announced its dean’s list for fall semester 2018. Area students recognized on the list include Massandra Hardies and Tyler Hendrickson of Albert Lea, Kaylan Legred of Bricelyn, Emily Eder of Geneva; and Emily Prigge of New Richland.

Students on the dean’s list have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

The University of Wisconsin-River Falls fall semester dean’s list honoring 1,603 students has been released by Registrar Kelly Browning.

To be named to the dean’s list, a full-time undergraduate must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a scale of 4.0

Among those honored were Alana Skarstad and Krystal Viktora of Albert Lea, Lacey Nelson of Ellendale, Anna Bailey of Geneva and Madeline Phillips of Hartland.

NDSU announces dean’s list

Area Minnesota students were among the 4,125 North Dakota State University students placed on the fall 2018 dean’s list. Those students included Elias Lazaro of Hollandale and Stephon Wilder of Kiester. 

A student must earn a 3.50 grade point average or higher and be enrolled in at least 12 class credits to qualify for the dean’s list.

Local students named to dean’s list

A number of local students have been named to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2018 semester at Bethel University in St. Paul. Those recognized include Alyssa Field of Ellendale, Elizabeth Nelson and Grace Nelson of New Richland and Granger Kingland of Northwood.

The dean’s list honors students who achieve an outstanding scholastic record during a semester with a grade point average of 3.6 or greater.

Wells student recognized

Lauren Wetzel was named to the dean’s academic honor roll for the 2018 fall semester. Students honored on the dean’s list are Baylor undergraduates with a minimum grade-point average of 3.7, while enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Luther College honors 3 A.L. students

Samuel Moyer and Emma Tewes, Luther College seniors, and Benjamin Seavey, junior, of Albert Lea, have been named to the 2018 fall semester dean’s list.

Local students graduate

The College of St. Scholastica has announced its list of conferred graduates for fall 2018. They include Brittany Moen of Albert Lea and Danielle Zabrocki of Alden.

Moen graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in social work. Zabrocki graduated with a Master of Science in occupational therapy.
