Editorial: Tribune’s annual Progress edition coming in one week

Published 8:30 pm Thursday, February 20, 2020

A week from Saturday, the Tribune’s annual Progress edition will be published inside of the regular newspaper.

Tribune staff have been working on the section since November, interviewing people, writing stories, selling advertisements to showcase local businesses and preparing pages for print.

Our theme for this year’s section is “Community with Vision,” and we hope it can highlight many of the positive things happening in the community and how people are working in their own spheres of influence to better Albert Lea and the surrounding area for the future.

During this process, we have met many inspirational people, and we encourage you to pick up a copy to check out some of these stories. There truly are some great people who live in this community.

Also in the Feb. 29 newspaper will be a quiz that could help one lucky reader walk away with a three-month subscription to the newspaper. The quiz is in the A Section of the regular newspaper.

People should look for the answers in the Down Through the Years part of the Progress section. Then, people with the correct answers will go into a drawing for a three-month subscription.

We hope this section serves as a nice reminder of all the good things that set apart the Albert Lea area.
