Albert Lea Fire Rescue would like to remind residents that it is against city ordinance to burn leaves in town, according to a press release. The department understands it is getting nice outside and people want to get rid of them.

For now, until the transfer station reopens, it is recommended to bag leaves to haul out later. Those with questions can call Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Laskowske at 507-377-4311 or the fire quarters at 507-377-4341.
