Daily COVID-19 update: No new cases reported in Freeborn County

Freeborn County reported no new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, according to the Minnesota Department of Health’s daily update.

The department states Freeborn County has had 130 cases since the beginning of the pandemic and now has 87 people out of isolation. No people are currently hospitalized from the county.

Faribault County also did not have any new cases and has had 20 cases.

Fourteen new cases were reported in Mower County, increasing that county’s total to 366, and two new cases were reported in Steele County, pushing its total to 167. One new case was reported in Waseca County, and that county has had 27 cases.

Statewide, there were 372 newly reported cases, increasing the total cumulative statewide cases to 25,870.

Of the total cases, 21,169 no longer need to be in isolation, and 537 remain hospitalized, including 254 in intensive care.

Fourteen new deaths were reported in Anoka, Crow Wing, Goodhue, Hennepin, Ramsey, Stearns and Washington counties, increasing the state’s total deaths to 1,086.

Hennepin County has had the largest number of cases with 8,738 cases and 633 deaths.

Other counties with large numbers include Ramsey County with 3,189 cases and 134 deaths and Stearns County with 2,047 cases and 14 deaths. Olmsted County has had 654 cases and 11 deaths.
