Here are highlights in history for Nov. 28, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1985 — This was the day after Thanksgiving and the start of the Christmas Kettle Campaign by the Albert Lea Salvation Army at the Skyline Mall

1975 — A Sunday breakfast at Oak View Golf Course, four miles west of Manchester on the new blacktop, cost $1.50.

1945 — An open house was held to observe the first anniversary of Munsingwear in Albert Lea. Over a thousand people attended this event.
