Updated: results from state finals

Lindsey Horejsi was named the state champion in the 100-yard breaststroke with her time of 1:00.16.

The Albert Lea swimming team placed eighth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:44.78.

Karli Kriewall placed second in the 1-meter diving finals at the Minnesota State High School swimming and diving tournament with a score of 334.00. The defending champion Bailey Dupay won the event 394.25.

Lindsey Horejsi placed third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23:55. The time was good for All-American consideration. Defending champion Danielle Nack won with a new record time of  22:82.

Albert Lea took second place in the 200-yard medley relay at the Minnesota state swimming and diving championships today at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. The team total was 1 minute, 48.63 seconds. The time was good for All-American consideration.

Bailey Sandon swam her split in 29.34 seconds, Lindsey Horejsi swam 27.27, Ahnika Jensen swam 27.41 and Anna Andersen swam 24.61.
