Man arrested after crash

Albert Lea police arrested Donald Arnold Brandt, 49, for leaving the scene of an accident after receiving a report at 1:20 a.m. today of a vehicle that was off the road near the intersection of Hammer Road and Y.H. Hanson Avenue. The initial report stated there was damage to the railroad tracks nearby.

 

1 arrested for DWI

Albert Lea police arrested Eldon Edward Monson, 64, for third-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Fountain Street and First Avenue.

 

Grass starts on fire

A grass fire was reported at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday at 10779 660th Ave., Emmons. The fire was extinguished.

 

Fenders stolen from yard

Two fenders from a trailer were reported stolen at 7:36 p.m. Wednesday from 1337 Margaretha Ave. Value was estimated at $400.

 

Windows broken

Someone reportedly broke out the front window of a residence at 11:33 p.m. Wednesday at 718 S. Third Ave. Damage was estimated at $1,000. The suspect reportedly fled before officers arrived.

The back window of a black pickup was reported broken out at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday at the lower disc golf course at Bancroft Bay Park, 900 Hammer Road.

 

Garage entered

A garage was reported broken into at 611 Ulstad Ave. sometime overnight Tuesday. The door was broken, but nothing appeared to be stolen.
