The Albert Lea Tiger Athletic Hall of Fame committee is looking for nominations for the 2016 Hall of Fame banquet, which will be July 8 at Wedgewood Cove in Albert Lea. A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and inductions to begin at 6:30 p.m. The following day there will be a four-person best shot golf event at 10 a.m. at Wedgewood Cove. 

The Hall of Fame was established in 2010 for the purpose of acknowledging outstanding athletes, coaches and state championship teams that have made a historical contribution to the Albert Lea athletic program, according to a press release.

Proceeds from the event go to the Albert Lea Education Foundation for the sole purpose of lowering student participation fees. The event in 2014 raised $8,000.
