Just wait; it is going to get bad

You have all heard about Trump draining the swamp.  Well, Trump has just about finished filling his own swamp. It seems that the only qualifications that were needed were that you had to be a billionaire. I was wrong when I stated in one of my past letters to the editor when I called Trump one of the biggest con artists we have gotten to know. I said I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t turn out to be a Democrat if he was elected. After all, he changed his mind on just about everything. You ask a Trump supporter what he stands for, they can’t tell you. They just live in a dream world and have a lot of hope that he will do the right thing. I have news for them: It is going to get bad.

Right now the stock market is at an all-time high. Gas is selling at about $2 a gallon. You can buy a pound of hamburger for $2. Nobody is starving. There are no body bags coming home for across the big sea. Farmers can’t complain; their land is at an all-time high. I could go on and on, but just try and remember how good you have it now because it is not going to last long. The Republicans are in charge now.

One of the things Trump ran on was that he was going to bring jobs back from overseas. His idea to do this is to raise the import fees 45 percent. Well, China is one of our biggest  purchasers of our exports. China has now threatened that if Trump goes through with that threat that they are going to raise their tariffs 45 percent. That will only be put on the exports from states that voted for Trump. An example would be Iowa voted for Trump. Minnesota voted for Hillary. Farm products and grains are the Midwest’s biggest exports.   Land in Iowa will drop and land in Minnesota will rise. Isn’t this going to be a hoot on how this is going to play out. This and that 3,000-mile fence that Trump was going to make Mexico build and pay for. I don’t know what those Trump supporters were thinking. I know that for the next four years I will own the bragging rights to say I didn’t vote for Trump.
